Do it yourself Google Cardboard Lens (parts 1-4)

Instructions to make your own Google Cardboard Lens using found materials.

--------------------------------

You will need:

Empty water bottle (any size)

Blu-tac (or chewing gum)

Tools:

Knife or scissors (to cut the plastic bottle)

Paper and pen (to draw a template to make cutting easier)

Instructions:

1. Draw a circle roughly 4cm (1.5") diameter on a piece of paper.

2. Cut it out and stick it on a curve (any curve) of the bottle using a spot of blu tac.

3. Cut the plastic out around the template.

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3, but make a smaller circle ( roughly 3.5cm/1 inch).

5. Using the blu tac make an earthworm shape and put it along the edge (the very edge) of the smaller plastic piece.

6. Make a puddle of water in the sink.

7. Submerge the two pieces (the big plastic disc and small plastic disc with blutac on it) in the water.

8. Collect the water into the lens and seal it by pressing the two pieces together to create the final look of a google (convex) lens (round on both sides of the lens).

9. Done!
